Babcock International has won a new contract to provide pilot training services for the French Air and Space Force and the French Navy, reinforcing its role in France’s military aviation training system. The agreement covers academic instruction and practical flight training for student pilots, Weapons Systems Officers, and simulator instructor candidates. Training will be conducted at Salon-de-Provence Air Base, where cadets begin flight instruction on Cirrus SR22 aircraft, and at Cognac Air Base, where trainees advance to Grob 120 platforms before transitioning to frontline aircraft. The award follows previous contracts, including the provision of an L-39 jet to support test pilot training and evaluation missions for France’s flight testing authority.
