KNDS and Rheinmetall’s joint venture, Projekt System & Management, has won a €119.5 million contract to deliver nine Puma infantry fighting vehicle firing and combat training systems to Germany. Rheinmetall’s electronics division will receive the majority of the funding as a key subcontractor. The program includes upgrading an existing development model to production standard and providing transport containers for all training facilities. Scheduled for delivery starting mid-2027, the AGSP simulators allow platoon- and company-level mechanized infantry training without live vehicles, replicating realistic combat conditions under a “train as you fight” doctrine.
