Greece is reportedly considering transferring an unknown number of its S-300 air defense systems to Armenia, which is actively pursuing a comprehensive military modernization program through new arms acquisitions. The Greek military is said to be “at an advanced stage” of replacing its S-300PMU1 surface-to-air, short-range Tor-M1, and Osa-AK air defense systems with more advanced Western technology. This decision is reportedly driven by difficulties in maintaining their Russian-origin weapons due to a lack of spare parts, a consequence of international sanctions.
