Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) confirmed it will supply six Tejas multirole combat aircraft to the Indian Air Force in March, addressing previous shipment delays due to problems with GE Aerospace, the engine supplier. HAL plans to deliver a total of 83 Tejas jets, with 16 to 24 aircraft expected annually starting June 2025. HAL’s chairman assured that six aircraft are ready, and additional jets will gradually replace the MiG-21s currently in use.
