Hanwha Aerospace has begun construction of its H-ACE Europe facility in Petrești, Romania, to produce K9 self-propelled howitzers and K10 ammunition resupply vehicles under a 2024 contract. Spanning 181,000 square meters, the site will feature assembly lines, testing facilities, and a dedicated driving track. The company aims for 80 percent local industrial participation and full life-cycle support, positioning Romania as a regional artillery production hub integrated into global supply chains.
