Tata Advanced Systems has rolled out the Advanced Armored Platform – Tracked (AAP-Tr), capping months of development on its proposed next-gen infantry combat vehicle for India.
The vehicle uses a V-hull design to mitigate mine and IED blast effects; its outer structure is said to tolerate detonations equivalent to 15 kilograms of TNT. Crew survivability is boosted by interior ceramic-composite armor panels that guard against armor-piercing projectiles and rocket fragments without compromising maneuverability.
