The Indian Army has officially received its first batch of AH-64E Apache helicopters from Boeing, under a U.S. Foreign Military Sales agreement approved in 2017. This initial delivery comprises three out of six helicopters slated for transfer, marking the halfway point in the handover process. These advanced attack helicopters are built to the latest AH‑64E configuration, featuring enhanced combat capabilities. The newly received Apaches are set to be stationed in Jodhpur, a strategic location in western India, to bolster regional security and strengthen the army’s operational readiness. The induction of these helicopters aligns with India’s broader effort to modernize its aerial combat assets.
