
South Korea’s KF-21 Boramae program, initiated in 2011, is aimed at replacing legacy F-4 and F-5 jets by 2026. The KF-21 measures 17 meters in length, with an 11-meter wingspan and a max fuel capacity of 6,000kg. Powered by two Hanwha/GE F414 engines delivering 110,000 hp, it can reach speeds up to Mach 1.8, with an operational range of 1,500 nautical miles and a maximum altitude of 16,700 meters. Seoul is expected to add up to 120 units by 2030.
