The last of the 24 Rafale fighter jets that Dassault Aviation of France delivered to the Tanagra air base of the Hellenic Air Force. The single-seat plane was received by the 332nd Squadron in Greece, joining the rest of the country’s fleet of combat aircraft, which includes F-16s in various configurations and the incoming F-35 Lightning II fighter jets. This most recent delivery is part of a March 2022 agreement for Athens to acquire six more new Rafale aircraft, following a 2.5 billion euro ($2.5 billion) transaction in January 2021 to purchase 18 Rafales.
