Lithuania’s Defence Materiel Agency (DMA), operating under the Ministry of National Defence, has finalized a significant EUR 950 million contract with Germany’s Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw). This agreement is for the acquisition of 44 Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks (MBTs) from KNDS Deutschland. The comprehensive deal also includes a package of essential spare parts and vital logistics support.
