Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) has secured a new contract from the U.S. Government for the production of Generation 4 Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (Gen 4 TADS/PNVS) systems. This order supports the recent Foreign Military Sales (FMS) agreement for AH-64E Apache helicopters destined for the Polish Air Force. Notably, this is the first time the Common Sensor Electronic Unit (CSEU) and Generation 2 Turret will serve as standard components for the AH-64E sensor suite.
The Gen 4 TADS/PNVS system, featuring the CSEU and Gen 2 Turret, enhances the Apache’s ability to conduct long-range, precision targeting and navigation operations in day, night, and adverse weather conditions, allowing pilots to engage threats from a safer distance.
Lockheed Martin also plans to collaborate with Poland to establish a TADS/PNVS Special Repair Activity (SRA) facility at WZL1 in Łódź, which will bolster Poland’s defense industrial base and provide local support for the Apache’s advanced sensors.
This contract highlights Lockheed Martin’s continued commitment to delivering cutting-edge capabilities to international allies, enabling them to effectively respond to modern security challenges.
