Hungary’s defense modernization program has taken a step forward with the arrival of its first L-39 Skyfox training jets, delivered by Aero Vodochody. These aircraft landed at Kecskemét Air Base and will be used to train Hungarian fighter pilots under a broader modernization plan.
Assigned to the 101st Tactical Training Squadron, the jets will enhance local pilot instruction and support Hungary’s involvement in the NATO Flight Training Europe program. This multilateral initiative ensures aligned training standards across NATO members. Aero is also delivering ground support tools, simulators, and complete crew training to accompany the aircraft.
