The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) recently expanded its fleet with the arrival of its fourth C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft, registered as NZ7014, at RNZAF Base Auckland, Whenuapai, in late October 2024. This aircraft completed a journey of over 14,000 kilometers from Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Georgia, USA, with intermediate stops in California, Hawaii, and American Samoa. This delivery is a component of a larger initiative to replace the RNZAF’s older C-130H fleet with five new C-130J-30 aircraft, with the fifth and final aircraft anticipated to join the fleet by the close of 2024.
