The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin have reached a preliminary agreement for the production of two additional lots (18 and 19) of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters. While a handshake deal has been made for the stealth fighter’s air vehicle production, the F-35 Joint Program Office and Lockheed Martin stated in a joint announcement that the final terms, including the exact number of F-35s and their cost, are still under negotiation and will be revealed upon the official signing of the contract.
