The Philippine Air Force has officially received five more S-70i Black Hawk helicopters from Lockheed Martin’s PZL Mielec unit in Poland. Delivered to Clark Air Base, the aircraft are part of Manila’s 32-unit order signed in 2022 to modernize its rotary fleet. The multi-role helicopters will support disaster relief, troop transport, and cargo operations. This batch follows earlier deliveries in June and December 2024, bringing the total to 15. With advanced specifications and seating for 12 troops, the Black Hawks have already participated in joint drills with US and Philippine forces, including Cope Thunder 25-2.
