Poland has chosen L3Harris’ AN/ALQ-254(V)1 Viper Shield for its F-16 Viper upgrade, modernizing 48 Block 52 jets to Block 70 standards. Competing with Northrop’s IVEWS, Viper Shield integrates digital radar warning receivers and RF jamming into a single internal unit. The system improves survivability and seamlessly connects with the APG-83 AESA radar. Already adopted by seven nations, the suite strengthens Poland’s air combat readiness.
