Poland has taken delivery of 15 Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles, marking the first batch under a 6.57-billion PLN ($1.8B) contract for 111 units through 2029. Developed by PGZ and Huta Stalowa Wola, Borsuk is an amphibious tracked IFV optimized to transport infantry while providing protection against small arms, AT weapons, and IEDs. The program includes comprehensive training and logistical support, with future variants planned for command roles and chemical-defense tasks. Featuring the ZSSW-30 remote turret, the vehicle mounts a 30mm Mk44S cannon, twin Spike ATGM launcher, and 7.62mm coaxial MG. Its amphibious capability enables river crossings without external engineering assets, enhancing operational mobility across Poland’s eastern operational areas.
