The ArGe D-LBO (Working Group for the Digitalization of Land-Based Operations), a joint venture between KNDS Deutschland and Rheinmetall, has been awarded a significant EUR 1.98 billion contract by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw). This six-year agreement focuses on digitizing the command-and-control systems of the German Armed Forces’ vehicle fleet. The project involves integrating advanced digital radio transmitters and command-and-control systems into various vehicle platforms, with ArGe D-LBO overseeing the entire execution.
