Rheinmetall and Nooteboom Trailers have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly develop and market advanced Heavy Equipment Trailer (HET) systems, responding to rising demand for military transport solutions across Europe. The collaboration combines Rheinmetall’s expertise in military vehicle production, particularly through its MAN Military Vehicles division, with Nooteboom’s long-standing specialization in high-capacity trailers. The planned systems will integrate Rheinmetall’s HX and TG-MIL truck platforms with Nooteboom’s trailer technologies, enabling efficient transport of heavy military assets such as tanks and armored vehicles. Production is expected to be based in Romania, supporting European industrial capabilities. Nooteboom contributes proven solutions capable of handling payloads up to 200 tonnes, while Rheinmetall offers global market access and industrial scale. The partnership aims to deliver fully integrated logistics solutions tailored to modern defense requirements, particularly as NATO countries increase procurement of heavy platforms requiring advanced mobility support.
