Belarus has taken delivery of another batch of Russian-built Su-30SM2 multirole fighters, reinforcing its integrated air defense posture with Moscow. The aircraft are expected to enter operational duty within weeks, strengthening coverage along NATO’s eastern flank. The Su-30SM2 upgrade incorporates more powerful engines, improved avionics, and enhanced compatibility with modern Russian munitions. Deliveries continue under long-standing bilateral defense agreements, reflecting Minsk’s deep military integration with Russia through the Union State framework and joint air defense arrangements.
