Airbus has awarded Saab two contracts totaling €549 million to outfit Germany’s Eurofighter fleet with the Arexis electronic warfare system. The first continues prior integration work, and the second introduces new AI-enabled capabilities in partnership with Helsing. Shipments will occur between 2025 and 2028. The Arexis suite, originally developed for Gripen, provides high-power jamming and broad-spectrum sensing. Germany will upgrade 15 Eurofighters for the EK role and apply the same configuration to 20 new Tranche 5 aircraft.
