Hyundai Rotem and Poland’s Ministry of Defence have finalized a $6.5 billion agreement expanding on their 2022 tank deal. The contract covers 180 K2 Black Panther tanks, including the first 64 built in the new K2PL configuration tailored for Poland. Significantly, Poland will host full production, assembly, and MRO facilities, with only three tanks built in Korea. The transfer of technology will make Poland a European hub for armored vehicles, supporting local industry and NATO readiness.
