“The UAE and South Korea have inked a letter of intent for full collaboration on the creation and operation of Seoul’s KF-21 Boramae combat aircraft.
UAE Air Force (UAEAF) Major General Rashid Mohammed al-Shamsi and Republic of Korea Air Force Chief of Staff Lee Young-su signed the agreement, which allows UAEAF employees to participate in upcoming exercises and air drills involving the aircraft.
The KF-21 production line was also inspected by UAEAF delegates at the Korea Aerospace Industries’ plant.
The action follows Seoul’s offer to engage in collaborative development projects with nations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
The agreement did not specify whether Abu Dhabi could buy the next-generation fighters.
