South Korea is aiming to produce up to 120 KF-21 Boramae fighter jets by the early 2030s, with initial deliveries of around 20 aircraft expected between 2026 and 2027. These indigenous jets will replace older American F-4 and F-5 models in the fleet. Each KF-21 will be powered by dual F414 engines and capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 1.8, with advanced avionics and weapons integration for multirole missions.
