In a record 84 days, Sweden and Saab have created and tested a counter-unmanned aerial system (UAS). The “Loke,” a modular and scalable mobile c-UAS technology, was introduced by Saab in conjunction with the Swedish Air Force, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, and other partners. The Loke covers the whole kill chain, including using the Giraffe 1X multi-mission radar to detect and classify drones, using the Trackfire remote weapon station to interdict targets, and using a lightweight command and control system based on the short-range air defense concept.
