Airbus and Tata Advanced Systems have launched a new H125 helicopter final assembly line in southern India, strengthening New Delhi’s push to expand domestic aerospace manufacturing. The Vemagal facility will assemble civil H125 aircraft before transitioning to the tactical H125M configuration. Production is set to begin in 2027. The 13-meter helicopter, equipped with a Safran Arriel 2D engine, supports high-altitude performance, medical evacuation, transport, and security missions.
