Teledyne FLIR debuted the Cerberus XL, a counter-drone system able to detect 500 targets at once, at the Association of the US Army expo in Washington, DC. The trailer-mounted C-UAS uses advanced imaging and long-range radar for fast drone detection and tracking. It employs third-party non-kinetic effectors to disrupt hostile UAS at a maximum distance of three kilometers (1.9 miles). Cerberus XL C-UAS handles the whole kill chain: detecting, tracking, identifying, and defeating threats. The system’s sensors use advanced AI to boost identification accuracy.
