Textron and Leonardo are offering the M-346N aircraft for the U.S. Navy’s next trainer jet. The jet is based on Leonardo’s M-346 and replaces the aging T-45 Goshawk. M-346N includes advanced avionics, digital flight controls, and Live-Virtual-Constructive training systems. It also has safety features like auto ground collision avoidance. The twin-engine jet reaches 590 knots, has a 1,300 nm range, and flies up to 45,000 feet.
