Textron Systems has been awarded a $394.2-million contract by the US Navy to produce nine additional LCAC 100-class Landing Craft Air Cushion vessels. This latest order follows previous agreements in August 2023 and July 2024 for materials and preparatory work tied to the development of up to five LCAC 100s. Construction will be carried out in New Orleans, Louisiana, along with various other sites across the US. Delivery of the new hovercraft fleet is expected to be completed by September 2030.
