Pratt & Whitney, an RTX company, has secured a $1.5 billion deal to maintain the engines of the US Air Force’s F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jet. The three-year agreement calls for the firm to focus on increasing preparedness and lowering the costs of more than 400 F119 engines used in the service’s Raptor fleet, which has more than 900,000 flight hours.
