The first missionized OA-1K Skyraider II aircraft has been delivered to the US Air Force Special Operations Command by L3Harris and Air Tractor. The Skyraider II is intended for close air support, accurate attacks, and armed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. It will assist Special Operations Forces (SOF) in performing a variety of tasks in accordance with the US National Defense Strategy. The aircraft’s construction allows it to function from distant and challenging airfields. SOF’s adaptability enables it to deal with opponents in a wide range of conflict scenarios.
