As part of a project to expand the army’s rotorcraft fleet, France has taken delivery of the last Airbus NH90 Caïman Tactical Transport Helicopter. With the delivery, the shipments that began in 2011 to meet the service’s need for 63 NH90s in a custom “Standard 1” configuration with improved logistics capacity came to an end. Following this accomplishment, the force is anticipated to get 18 additional “Standard 2” versions of the NH90 between 2026 and 2029.
