As part of the service’s airborne long-range surveillance fleet modernization program, Lockheed Martin has delivered the 18th airframe to be converted into an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft to the US Coast Guard. The plane will be delivered in its base C-130J Super Hercules configuration and will spend a year undergoing integration in Georgia to improve its maritime patrol and heavy air transport capabilities in accordance with the effort’s standards.
