In an interview with TV2, the Danish Minister of Defense stated that before October, Denmark intends to purchase at least ten more F-35A fighter planes from the United States. Discussions in Washington, D.C. revealed that the U.S. assembly lines have spare production capacity, which prompted this planned acquisition. According to TV2’s U.S. correspondent, Denmark will be able to avoid delays brought about by longer queues by placing an order now or in the fall. This perspective is a result of the present low demand pressure on Lockheed Martin’s manufacturing facilities, which offers a short-term window for quicker delivery times.
