Turkey’s defense and aviation exports reached $10 billion in 2025, representing a 48 percent increase compared to $7.1 billion recorded the previous year. According to the Presidency of Defense Industries, exports surged in December alone, exceeding $2.5 billion. Goods accounted for $9.8 billion of the total, while services contributed $184 million, together representing 3.7 percent of Turkey’s overall exports. Major contracts included naval vessels for Portugal, Hürjet trainer aircraft for Spain, the Kaan fighter program for Indonesia, and offshore patrol vessels for Romania. More than half of exports were directed to Europe, NATO members, and the US. The growth reflects Ankara’s dual focus on expanding international sales while strengthening domestic defense technologies.
