Through its S²MARTS OTA framework, JHTO has contracted six organizations to mature technologies critical to sustained hypersonic flight. The awards focus on solving thermal management, maneuverability, and precision targeting challenges while integrating modeling, simulation, and live experimentation. By streamlining acquisition pathways, the Pentagon aims to transition validated subsystems more rapidly into operational hypersonic platforms.
