By choosing Northrop Grumman and Kratos, the US Marine Corps has launched its initial Collaborative Combat Aircraft effort built around the XQ-58 Valkyrie. The stealthy drone will integrate Northrop’s mission systems to support autonomous and crewed operations across a range of combat roles. Designed for flexibility and rapid adaptation, the platform signals a shift toward loyal wingman concepts that extend reach, reduce pilot risk, and enhance survivability in contested airspace.
