Dynamatic Technologies has confirmed development of the Super-Cheel, a 2-tonne-class unmanned aircraft designed for around 30 hours of endurance. The Bengaluru firm’s project places it in India’s MALE UAV segment, aimed at long-range intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Expected payloads may include EO/IR sensors, SAR radar, SIGINT systems, and secure data links. The drone evolves from the smaller Cheel VTOL platform and could compete with systems such as Archer-NG or imported MQ-9B-class aircraft. India’s military requirement for roughly 87 MALE UAVs may create future opportunities if the program meets performance and cost targets.
