Netherlands has announced a €248 million investment in joint drone manufacturing with Ukraine. Production is planned in both countries under the Build with Ukraine initiative, which allows Ukrainian defense firms to establish facilities inside NATO states while reducing exposure to Russian attacks. The move follows an earlier Dutch €110 million pledge for jointly produced deep-strike drones. Officials believe the partnership will strengthen industrial integration between Ukraine and Western defense sectors. However, reports indicate that regulatory delays and licensing complexity in Europe, especially for offensive systems, are slowing expansion plans for Ukrainian companies seeking to scale production abroad.
