Teledyne FLIR Defense has introduced the Black Recon micro-drone, a lightweight reconnaissance platform designed to provide persistent situational awareness beyond visual line of sight. Weighing less than 450 grams, the unmanned system can remain airborne for up to 60 minutes and reach speeds of approximately 90 kilometers per hour. Equipped with both thermal and electro-optical sensors, the drone delivers real-time imagery and targeting information to operators in demanding operational environments. Its Visual Inertial Navigation capability also enables radio-silent operations, improving survivability and mission effectiveness in contested electromagnetic environments.
