Canada and Ukraine have strengthened their defense cooperation through a new industrial partnership aimed at manufacturing Ukrainian-designed reconnaissance unmanned aerial systems in Canada. The agreement, signed between defense agencies of both nations, establishes a joint venture between Ukrainian drone developer Airlogix and Canadian manufacturer Sentinel Research and Development. The initiative is expected to increase the availability of intelligence-gathering platforms for the Ukrainian Armed Forces while enhancing operational planning and battlefield awareness capabilities. It also reflects Ottawa’s broader commitment to supporting Ukraine’s defense sector and expanding domestic production of advanced military technologies, including drones, electronic warfare systems, and counter-UAS solutions.
