BAE Systems has successfully demonstrated air-to-air capability by firing laser-guided APKWS rockets from its TRV-150 drone. The trial, held at Dugway Proving Ground, marks the first time APKWS munitions were launched from an uncrewed multirotor UAV, hitting both aerial and ground targets. Co-developed with SURVICE Engineering, the TRV-150 is a reconfigurable logistics drone derived from the T-150 and can carry payloads up to 150 lbs. The test highlights the flexibility of APKWS as a low-cost precision munition for emerging drone warfare.
