Anduril UK has formalized a partnership with GKN Aerospace to advance the British Army’s Project NYX, a flagship program aimed at developing next-generation autonomous land systems. GKN will serve as the airframe manufacturing and electrical integration partner, leveraging its Isle of Wight facility and broader aerospace capabilities. The collaboration forms part of a vast industrial ecosystem involving more than 100 UK suppliers and contributing to an estimated 50,000 jobs. Archer Aviation has also joined the effort, bringing eVTOL and hybrid propulsion expertise to support emerging autonomous and rotorcraft-based requirements. Companies across the extended supply chain—such as Atom Performance Technologies, Flarebright, Olsen Actuators, and Isembard—are contributing technologies ranging from propulsion modules and actuators to micro-UAV systems and advanced manufacturing solutions. Together, these partners strengthen the UK’s autonomous systems base and reinforce the collaborative framework behind Project NYX.
