has received an 18-million-pound ($24-million) contract from the UK’s National Armaments Director Group to test and evaluate the British Army’s new RCH155 artillery system. The testing campaign will examine ammunition safety, barrel wear, and system performance under harsh environmental conditions. Trials will take place at facilities operated under the UK Ministry of Defence’s Long Term Partnering Agreement. The RCH155 procurement recently entered production following a nearly 1-billion-pound order for 72 systems intended to replace the aging AS-90 artillery fleet. Developed by , the system combines a remotely operated 155mm gun module with the Boxer armored vehicle platform, offering high mobility, automation, and engagement ranges exceeding 70 kilometers.
