SSS Defence has supplied its indigenous T-12 semi-automatic shotguns to the Indian Army’s Northern Command as part of growing efforts to counter low-flying drones and FPV threats on the battlefield. The 12-gauge weapon, showcased at the Northtech Symposium 2026, is designed with anti-drone applications in mind and reportedly demonstrated successful drone neutralization during field trials at ranges of around 90 meters. Built using 7075-T6 aluminum and featuring detachable five- and ten-round magazines, the T-12 also includes a full-length Picatinny rail for optics and thermal sights required in modern counter-drone operations.
