Poland’s PGZ and BAE Systems have agreed to establish a 155mm shell production facility to enhance Warsaw’s defense industry. Construction begins this year, with completion expected by 2027–28. The plant will use BAE’s automated methods, already proven in the UK, to produce 180,000 NATO-standard shells annually. This will equip Polish K9 and Krab howitzers while reducing reliance on imports.
