MKU has launched the NMK-3000 rifle enhancement package aimed at transforming existing AK-47 inventories into modernized combat systems. Developed in Kanpur, the kit supports India’s drive for indigenous defence solutions by extending the life of legacy rifles instead of requiring expensive replacements. The package includes a Picatinny rail setup, holographic sight, night-vision monocular, vertical foregrip, upgraded pistol grip, folding stock with cheek support, sling mount, and additional rails for lights or lasers. These additions significantly improve handling, target acquisition, and modular adaptability while preserving the AK platform’s rugged dependability. For military and paramilitary users, the NMK-3000 offers a practical way to integrate optics and modern accessories into standard-issue rifles. Because the system is field-installable with minimal tools, units can upgrade weapons quickly with limited downtime. Night-vision integration also strengthens performance in low-visibility operations, making the package relevant for border security, counter-terror roles, and conventional infantry use.
