Slovakia has taken delivery of its first Israeli-made Barak MX defense system as part of a wider modernization agreement signed in 2024. The initial battery is now positioned near strategic power infrastructure, with further operational integration underway. Israeli specialists are assisting Slovak forces during training and system induction. The full €560 million package covers as many as six batteries to be delivered by the end of the decade. Barak MX offers protection against aircraft, missiles, and ballistic threats out to 150 kilometers.
