L3Harris has secured a US Army contract worth up to $106 million to supply additional VAMPIRE counter-drone systems as part of the Pentagon’s layered air defense strategy. The Vehicle Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment system combines intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and precision-strike capabilities in a compact, rapidly deployable package. Since its introduction, VAMPIRE has accumulated more than 350,000 operational hours and has seen growing demand following deployments supporting Ukraine and allied operations in Europe. The latest order reflects the US military’s increasing emphasis on affordable and scalable counter-unmanned aircraft solutions capable of addressing emerging drone threats.
