Kongsberg has secured a NOK 1.1 billion ($118 million) contract from General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada to supply Protector RS4 remote weapon stations for the Canadian Army’s Armoured Combat Support Vehicle fleet. The deal builds on a NOK 500 million order awarded in 2020. The RS4 is designed to improve crew protection, precision, target tracking, and situational awareness. Its stabilized architecture supports firing while moving, while electro-optical sensors enable day and night operations. The system can accommodate various small- and medium-caliber weapons, coaxial weapons, and anti-tank guided missiles.
